Complete Pigeon Control
We engage the customer and find out what exactly the problem is. Because the customer is most familiar with the property, most times they are our greatest ally in getting the information needed to find out where and what the problem is . We then do a thorough investigation of the property to determine the extent of the problem. After all information is recognized and compiled, it is presented and discussed to the customer. The customer is then given an estimate and the option to use our service.
We use many pigeon removal techniques including but not limited to trapping, netting, and aversion devices. In order to stop the damage the pigeons are doing, they must be removed. This process in many cases may take time to establish feeding, perching, nesting and sleeping patterns. There are many ways to remove the infestation each varying on a case-by-case basis.
As we all know pigeons are very messy. Their waste has the ability to erode metal and paint, burn and discolor lawns and plants, and even collapse structures in severe circumstances.
Besides property destruction, pigeons also carry diseases such as cryptococcosis, encephalitis, psittacosis, salmonella and histoplasmosis. These airborne diseases can potentially cause infected lungs, high fever, blood abnormalities, pneumonia and even death. Certain insects like fleas, lice, mites and ticks live on and in the feathers of pigeons and their waste, which means close contact with the birds may lead to the insects transferring to humans.
The longer these birds infest your property, the greater your chance is to become exposed to these diseases and insects.
After removing the flock or “problem pigeons” our staff, equipped with full personal protective equipment, will systematically disinfect and remove all waste, nests, eggs, feces, carcasses etc. We will then clean all affected areas.
After the cleaning process, in most cases, we will install some type of barrier and/or exclusion devices to keep the pigeons from re-nesting or roosting in favorable spots (ie. Eaves, under A/C units, peak of roof, recessed rooftops, loading docks, etc.).
When favorable nesting spots are closed off, pigeons start to look elsewhere to call their place home. This also inhibits visiting flocks in the future from doing the same once the initial flock is removed.
Barrier and exclusion device installation is a case-by-case scenario. As in all of our work we discuss and explain all options to our customers so they can make an informed decision. On all installations, our service comes with manufacture and installation warranties.
